Over 2 evening talks and 2 weekend workshops Matthew will be sharing his precious wealth of knowledge regarding energetics of traditional Western herbal medicine and shamanism.
EVENING TALKS: Matthew will talk about the extracellular matrix and its repercussions for herbalism, and remedies we can use to support the matrix, including connective tissue remedies. We will also revisit Matthew’s first book “Seven Herbs”.
WEEKEND 1: Matthew will be covering the physiomedical tissue states that provide a deep understanding of health conditions and how to apply them to organ systems, such as therespiratory, digestive, lymph/immune, musculoskeletal andcardiovascular systems.This has proven to be an intuitive system of energetics that correlates herbal actions, pharmacology, and traditional energetics, making the application of herbal remedies much easier, more powerful and more successful in treating dis-ease.
ABOUT MATTHEW WOOD
Matthew Wood has been a practicing herbalist since 1982. In a period when many authors and lecturers are merely “arm chair herbalists” who offer theories and opinions based on book learning, and others have turned to the exotic traditions of India or China, he has been an active practitioner of traditional Western herbalism. He has helped tens of thousands of clients over the years, with many difficult health problems.
While Matthew believes in the virtue of many other healing modalities, he has always been inspired to learn, preserve, and practice the tradition of herbal medicine descending to us from our European, Anglo-American, and Native American heritage. He is a member of the American Herbalists Guild (registered herbalist) and has earned his Masters of Science degree from the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine (accredited by the University of Wales).
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE EVENTS:
Matthew is an organic presenter and there may not be printed or projected notes as he likes a more intimate and freestyle type of event. Anyone who has been to his previous seminars will attest to the benefits of this – nuggets of wisdom flow freely and you will learn things no-one else can teach.
